We only use high quality shingles from top manufacturers. Most roofers start at the basic 3-tab shingles known as 20yr shingles. We won't offer/apply these poor quality shingles. We start at architectural shingles with a 30-50 yr minimum warranty and lifetime underlayments. Manufacturers include GAF, Atlas, Owen's Corning, and TAMKO.
For metal roofing, we use metal coils made in the USA. We offer metal from Sheffield Metals International, McElroy Metals, and Berridge.
Replacing MOST roofs with shingles usually takes 1 to 2 days to complete. 70% of our shingle projects last 1 day.
Metal roofing takes about 4 to 5 days on an average home.
For a free estimate, as long as you are the home owner, just call or schedule from the website by entering your information for the property. We generally do estimates within 2 days of receiving the request. Homeowners do not have to be present for the physical roof inspection, and we email the results/estimate for repair to the address that has been provided. We will NEVER offer your estimate in person with a pushy salesman waving a contract and a pen in your face.
You do not have to be home on construction day unless your roof leaked so badly that interior damages must be fixed (drywall repairs, paint, etc).
The amount of shingles we need for each roof is measured by roofing surface area + added materials for waste. We have to cut shingles at the beginning, end, and where your roof changes direction. Extra shingles are estimated by amount of linear feet of those adjustments.
Discoloring on roof is mainly caused from algae that has grown over time. The black streaks on roofs is living algae. We offer shingles now that come with an anti-algae warranty for 50 years at the same.price other roofers offer cheap shingles!
Each roof has characteristics and features that may require different forms of ventilation. We can use box vents, power vents, whirly-bird vents, gable vents, and ridge vents. We will decide which one cools your attic the best upon the inspection. Each home is it's own unique case.
Do not paint house before siding replacement or repairs. In most cases, you should do siding/trim/fascia repairs, then paint, then a new roof.
Siding color will eventually fade, but it depends on the quality of paint you use, the amount of sunlight and humidity may play a part as well. The actual siding will only break if it is hit/encounters some kind of outside force.
Siding can last as long as the home if it is cared for/painted when needed.
Patch repairs can be made to siding. Re-signing a home is not the only solution.
We match the siding for the home and project at hand. If the home gets ALL new siding, we recommend hardy plank siding.
For siding maintenance, all that you need to do is keep it clean and keep any gaps filled with caulk between painting. The only major maintenance needed is the occasional coat of paint when the old paint cracks or chips.
Hail damage is the same as any other roof replacement, it generally takes a day or two to replace. The amount of time for claim/inspections/settlement process on a hail claim varies from insurance carriers. Some insurance providers work VERY quickly for their clients, some companies seem to drag their feet. Regardless, the construction aspect of the claim is always 1-2 days for a roof. Also fencing, siding, and windows damaged in hail storms are all variables that add time to the project as well.
If your claim is accepted and you have your inurance check, all you need to do is pick the style of roof and the color...we will do the rest. Upon completion, we notify your insurance to send the final payment to you!
Yes, we help walk you through the process of your hail claims. When we find hail damage, we write you a report showing pictures of damage, get the claim started, and help with the final billing process.
Our biggest difference between us and the competition is simple. We don't use a sales staff. In my lifetime of construction, I've found one thing consistently true: the only thing that a salesperson will add to your roof is cost. For the same cost, we would rather offer you the better roof instead of paying a sales commission to someone who wont make your roof any better. We would prefer to use that money to upgrade your roofing components and pay higher wages to our professional installers. We believe roofing is still an industry of construction, not the sales industry.
